Introduction to how the new media has changed the fields of mass communication.

This blog post will explore how the new media has changed the fields of mass communication. First of all, new media is a digital technology that uses to reach their audience by practitioners in mass communication such as Internet, social media and etc. Let’s focus on Internet and social media at here. It is almost impossible to overstate influence of Internet and social media is very huge, the Internet and social media has since become an integral part of daily life. 

The practitioners of mass communication use new media a lot because the new media enable them to done their work faster and efficiency. They can exchange or access information at their fingertips, the Internet has added a whole new democratic dimension to communication. In addition, thanks to the social media such as Facebook, Twitter, video-sharing website and etc, these has easy the job of the practitioners of mass communication because they can instantaneous distribution of news, a variety of different perspectives on a single event, and the ability to communicate with people all over the globe. The new media has drastically changed the way practitioners of mass communication do their job.

Who am I

Liew Pui Yinn, a 20 years old girl. Everyone called me Josephine. I am a Degree's student in Public Relations at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College currently.  I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. I love Kuala Lumpur where i grow up even though it is a very busy city and i have to experience the traffic jam almost every day.

People think I'm rude and noisy because my talking volume is a bit higher. Personally I tears a lot to express my feelings. I do cry when I'm happy, sad or angry. I think that I'm a positive person. However, it will be frustrating sometimes.

For my family, there are four of us, my mother, elder brother, older sister and me. I'm the youngest in my family, my mother grow and raise me well without my father. My brother and sister are my role models and taught me a lot in my life. I love and appreciate my family.
